More than a year after the Indian armed forces successfully carried out Operation Sindoor, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has reacted to Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi’s recent warning to Islamabad. He said that New Delhi would be “relegated to history” and its geography “changed” if they tried to attack Pakistan again.
Speaking on the ‘Capital Talk’ show of Geo News, Asif said, “As a nation, India thinks that its esteem has been damaged.”

“If India attempts any misadventure against Pakistan, it would be relegated to history and its geography would be changed,” he added.
Asif’s comments came after Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi, on Saturday issued a stern warning to Pakistan and said that if Pakistan keeps harbouring terrorists, then the neighbouring country will have to decide whether it wants to be a part of geography, history or not.
He was asked if Pakistan gives a chance again for continuation of Operation Sindoor, will Indian armed forces hit them hard or harder and whether he wanted to divulge anything about Operation Sindoor which is not known to anyone so far.
“That’s in the domain of classified information, but I think if you have heard me earlier, what I have said is that if Pakistan continues to harbour terrorists and operate against India, then they have to decide whether they want to be a part of geography, history or not,” the Army chief said.
This comes after Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, who served as Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) during Operation Sindoor, said on the first anniversary of the major military operation that Pakistan had been “compelled to negotiate” with India and even “requested to stop” strikes against the country during the operation last year.
Recently, India marked the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, which was a decisive military action carried out by Indian armed forces in May 2025 against the terror infrastructures and terrorists across Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan. This was done following the heinous Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, 2025.
